About this subspecialty

The Spine and Nerve Center, a subspecialty within the Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciencesdiagnoses, treats and manages conditions affecting the spine, spinal cord and nerves in adult patients (18 years and older), including herniated discs, spinal stenosis, radiculopathy, low back pain, sciatica and spinal fractures.

Our team provides comprehensive care using evidence-based approaches, including non-surgical therapies, minimally invasive procedures, spinal decompression, laminectomy, microdiscectomy, artificial disc replacement, spinal fusion, vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty. We are dedicated to helping you reduce pain, restore function and maintain mobility and independence.

Our treatment approach

At UT Medicine, we take an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to your care. This means you will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines caring for you in one place — avoiding the need to schedule multiple appointments with providers at locations all over the city.

UT Medicine is anchored by Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, where we collaborate with colleagues to apply leading-edge research, diagnostic and treatment techniques to the diagnosis and treatment of your condition. Advanced imaging and lab testing are also available on-site if needed.
