About this subspecialty

The Foot and Ankle Clinic, a subspecialty within the Musculoskeletal Institute, diagnoses, treats and manages conditions affecting the foot, ankle and lower limb in patients (14 years and older), including foot and ankle deformities, sports injuries, fractures, arthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, and neuromuscular and congenital conditions.

Our team provides nonsurgical and surgical treatments, including patient education, lifestyle modifications, physical therapy, medications, joint injections, ankle arthroscopy, tendon repair, deformity correction, fracture repair and ankle replacement when appropriateWhether you are recovering from injury, managing arthritis or rheumatoid conditions, dealing with flatfoot, bunions, tendon injuries, or seeking correction for foot and ankle deformities, we are dedicated to reducing pain, improving mobility and helping you regain an active, independent lifestyle.

Our treatment approach

At UT Medicine, we take an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to your care. This means you will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines caring for you in one place — avoiding the need to schedule multiple appointments with providers at locations all over the city.

UT Medicine is anchored by Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, where we collaborate with colleagues to apply leading-edge research, diagnostic and treatment techniques to the diagnosis and treatment of your condition. Advanced imaging and lab testing are also available on-site if needed.
