John Wickman, M.D., will no longer be seeing patients at UT Health Austin beginning Sept. 30, 2026. Dr. Wickman has accepted a new position at Washington University. Our team remains committed to providing high-quality, team-based care for our community.
You may choose to see Zakariah Mahmood, M.D., or Claire Ryan, M.D. for your continued care. Dr. Mahmood received fellowship training in hand and upper extremity from Brown University/Warren Alpert Medical School. Dr. Ryan received her Sports Medicine fellowship training at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., and specializes in treating acute and chronic conditions of the knee, hip and shoulder. If you would like to schedule a future appointment with Dr. Mahmood or Dr. Ryan, please contact us at 1-512-495-5362 and our Health Access Partner will assist you.
Your medical records are confidential and can only be released or transferred with your authorization. If you choose to seek care elsewhere, you may request an authorization form. Elizabeth Douglass, M.D., an infectious disease specialist, will be leaving her practice in the Infectious Disease Clinic, effective Aug. 19, and will no longer provide care at UT Health Austin after that date. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition of your care and will work with you to coordinate your ongoing treatment needs.
Our team remains committed to providing high-quality, team-based care and ensuring continuity of your treatment. You may choose to continue your care at UT Health Austin with Ting-Yi Chen, M.D., our board-certified infectious disease specialist. Dr. Chen completed fellowship training in infectious diseases at New York University and has expertise in HIV, hepatitis B and C, and general infectious diseases.
If you would like to establish or continue care with Dr. Chen, please call 1-833-882-2737. One of our Access Center Partners will be happy to assist you with scheduling an appointment and answering any questions about your transition of care.
