About this service
Your health is more than just physical. The Health Social Work team is here to support your emotional, social and behavioral well-being, right alongside your clinical care.
You’ll work with licensed clinical social workers, dietitians and a behavioral health pharmacist who are integrated into UT Medicine clinics. Together, they help you manage stress, navigate complex life challenges and access critical resources, all with the goal of helping you feel your best and stay on track with your health.
Depending on your needs, the Health Social Work team can help you with:
- Case management
- Familial support (including support for talking with children about medical conditions)
- Medication consults
- Nutritional counseling
- Psychotherapy (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, narrative therapy)
- Supportive counseling
