About this subspecialty
Vasculitis, a subspecialty within the Rheumatology Clinic, diagnoses, treats and manages rare inflammatory blood vessel conditions in adult patients (18 years and older), including Behçet’s disease, central nervous system vasculitis, cryoglobulinemic vasculitis, eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis, giant cell arteritis, granulomatosis with polyangiitis, IgA vasculitis, microscopic polyangiitis, polyarteritis nodosa, polymyalgia rheumatica, primary skin vasculitis and Takayasu arteritis.
Our team provides comprehensive evaluations, advanced diagnostic testing and personalized treatment plans to help you manage symptoms, reduce inflammation and preserve organ function. We are dedicated to helping you manage your condition, maintain organ health and enhance your quality of life.
Our treatment approach
At UT Medicine, we take an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to your care. This means you will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines caring for you in one place — avoiding the need to schedule multiple appointments with providers at locations all over the city.
UT Medicine is anchored by Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, where we collaborate with colleagues to apply leading-edge research, diagnostic and treatment techniques to the diagnosis and treatment of your condition. Advanced imaging and lab testing are also available on-site if needed.
