Just across the street from the MARC is the Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC) -- a division of UT Medicine, the clinical practice of the School of Medicine at the UT Health Science Center.

The CTRC opened in 1974 and  the UT School of Medicine has been involved with CTRC research and cancer treatment for nearly that long.  The CTRC merger with the UT Health Science Center became official in December of 2007.

Many of the UT Medicine doctors see patients at the CTRC as well as other UT Medicine clinics.

The CTRC is a NCI-Designated Cancer Center, which means it excels in the areas of cancer treatment, but also does great work in research, prevention and awareness.

You can call the CTRC at (210) 450-1000 for more information, or visit their website at CTRC.net.
